Iphicles, brother of Heracles Iphicles (in the Herculian context) is the mortal twin of the legendary Ancient Greek hero, Heracles. It is said that he was incredibly cowardly - when Hera put a serpent in Heracles' and Iphicles' cradle, intending to kill Heracles, Heracles strangled the reptile, whilst Iphicles cowered behind his brother
